Retirement Snapshot

Sparky Mark is a 74-year-old man residing in Dudley, UK. He retired at the age of 55, not by choice, but because his family's engineering business, after a century of operation, was forced to be sold.

Mark has been married for 40 years and has a daughter, along with a grandson and granddaughter. He is currently focused on making a success of "RNR" and seeing www.bonogroup.com grow.

His personal aspirations are diverse and include:

• Witnessing his grandchildren grow up.

• Owning his own gin still, with a potential interest in www.championdsgin.co.uk

• Bringing an engineering job for BT back to the UK, which is currently being manufactured in China.

• Discovering a tax-effective method to manage his pension fund outside of his estate.

• Building a fallout shelter in his backyard, humorously adding that he hopes his wife won't divorce him over it.

In terms of practical needs, Sparky Mark is seeking local contractors to replace his conservatory roof and install a lift. He is also keen to make contact with someone in BT procurement.
